About Sheriff Adamo

Sheriff Thomas Adamo is a lifelong resident of Passaic County. Serving in the Passaic County Sheriff's Office since the age of 19, he has held practically every rank, and he holds deep roots within Passaic County.

As a proud family man, Sheriff Adamo combines his professional experience with a deep personal investment in the well-being of Passaic County. His leadership focuses on creating safer neighborhoods and a stronger, united county for all residents.

A lifelong advocate for community safety, he is committed to fostering trust, accountability, and innovation in public service.

Sheriff Adamo's crime reduction plan includes enhanced county patrols, collaborative use of leading-edge anti-crime technology, and improved collaboration with the leaders of local municipalities to promote safer streets and communities.

Prosceuting Cybercrimes

Sheriff Adamo embraces the latest in anti-crime technology that allows the Passaic County Sherriff's Office to perform more effectively. His team works to combat the latest cybercrimes and protect our children from online predators.

Community Policing

Initatives like neighborhood watch programs, community outreach, and de-escalation training for officers are top priorities of Sheriff Adamo's community policing agenda, building trust between law enforcement and residents.

Fiscally Responsible

In 2023, Sheriff Adamo helped reduce the Passaic County Sheriff's Department operating budget by $1.5 million dollars. He continues to manage the budget efficiently while reducing taxpayer burdens within the county.
